Muscles: -full muscle control of upper limbs, no muscle control of lower limbs, varying amounts of muscle control in the stomach and back Sensation: -no sensation below the level of the lesion Respiration: -full diaphragm control,
some muscles in chest and stomach to assist in breathing, breathing may
be a little more difficult than before the injury -may have weak cough, slight risk for lung infections Bladder: -incontinent Spasticity: -spasms below level of lesion |
